William Henry Vidler 1872-1940

William Henry Vidler was the son of George and Ellen Vitler.  He was born in c1872 in Hollington, Sussex.  His baptism was recorded 07 July 1872 in Ore, Sussex.

William married Flora Elizabeth Kemp on 27 November 1901 in All Saint's Church, Eastbourne, Sussex.  She was the daughter of John and Sarah Kemp, and was born c1874 in Herstmonceux, Sussex. 

William and Flora had four children:

Florence Alice Vidler was born on 25 September 1902, Brighton, Sussex; died on 24 April 1974.  Florence married Stanley Sutton Hart in 1931.  He was born 13 May 1905, and died on 12 April 1987.

Cyril William H Vidler was born on 7 April 1904 in  Brighton, Sussex and he died on 13 December 1971.  Cyril married Agnes Maud Swan on 5 July 1933.  She was born 16 June 1904, and died in 1985.

Archibald Raymond Vivian Vidler was born in 1906 and emigrated to Australia in 1930s.  He is believed to have married in Australia, and died there in the 1950s.

Albert Clarence A Vidler was born on 7 October 1911 in Brighton, Sussex where he died on 20 April 1999.  He married Constance Edith M James in 1947.  She was born on 5 March 1912 and died on 5 February 2003 in Brighton, Sussex.

After many years working for the railways (London, Brighton & South Coast Railway), William and Flora bought and ran a newsagents in Brighton.  William died c1940 in Brighton, Sussex, and Flora died on 20 Jan 1942.
