Susan Isted was 7th child of Michael & Elizabeth Isted, and was born c1847.  She was christened on 28 November 1847, in St Peter's Church, Ashburnham, in Sussex.

Susan spent her early life in Ashburnham with her family.  Her illegitimate daughter, Ann, was born in 1869, and at the time of the 1871 census Susan was staying with one of her sisters, Sarah Morris and her family, and working as a laundress.  Ann was staying with her Aunt, Ruth Vidler.

Susan married Jonathan Samuel Morley on 25 March 1876 in Ashburnham Sussex.  Jonathan was born c1852, and was the son of Jonathan and Mary Morley.   Jonathan grew up in Tonbridge Workhouse, after his father abandoned the family.

Soon after their marriage the couple moved to Westham in Sussex, where they raised their six children.

Jonathan died in 1919, and at some point Susan moved to Battle, where she died on 24 April 1932, at the age of 84 years.

Susan and Jonathan were both buried in Bexhill Cemetery.
