Chiddingly Church, Sussex

Stephen Smith was the son of John and Elizabeth Smith.  He was born c1877 in Chiddingly, East Sussex.

Stephen married Elizabeth Gander on 17 August 1801, in Lewes, East Sussex.

Elizabeth was born c1780, in Chiddingly, East Sussex, and was the daughter of Richard and Lydia Gander.

Little more is known about the couple, who raised ten children and appear to have lived in Chiddingly until their deaths, Stephen on 3 November 1845 and Elizabeth on 6 January 1849.
