St Peter's Church, Bexhill

Sarah Lewis was the daughter of Henry & Charlotte Lewis, and was born c1844, in Hooe, East Sussex.

Sarah married her second cousin, James Vitler, on 25 September 1864 in St Oswald's Church, Hooe.  James was the son of James Vitler and Harriet Eastland, and was born c1841 in Hooe.

Some time after their marriage Sarah & James moved to Bexhill where they raised a large family of 15 children.

James died in 1903 at 59 Sidley Street, Bexhill, Sussex, and Sarah died 1923 in Bexhill, Sussex.  The couple were buried in Bexhill Cemetery.
