Thomas Nicholls 1832-1906

Thomas Nicholls was my Great-Great Grandfather. He was born was born c1832, and married my Great-Great Grandmother, Emily, in 1874.  The family settled in Hackington, near Canterbury in Kent. 

Thomas served in the Royal Horse Artillery.  He was awarded the Crimea medal (1854-1856), Turkish Crimea medal (1854-1856), and a Long Service & Good Conduct medal (1855-1874).  He was discharged from service on 3 December 1872. 

After Emily died, in 1894, Thomas became an In-Pensioner of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, on 1 October 1898.

Thomas died on 1 August 1906, and was buried in Brookwood Cemetery.
