Kate Ellen Vidler was born c1870.  She was the eldest daughter of George and Ellen Vitler, and was christened on 26 June 1870, in St Oswald's church, Hooe,  Sussex.

Kate married Alfred Bliss in Woolwich on 22 January  1893.  Albert was a Soldier (Royal Artillery).  Kate and Alfred had three children:

Ivanhoe Wilfred Bliss was born c1893 in Aldershot, Hampshire, and died in 1966.  He married Daisy Lenda Mayell in 1921.  She was born c1890 in Devonport and died on 16 November 1950.

Edith Madeline Bliss was born c1897.

Gladys Lilian Bliss was born on 28 September 1899 in Cahir, County Tipperary, she died on 21 February 1989 in Thanet, Kent.   Gladys married Charles Wroughton-Smith in 1918.  He was born c1891 and died in Kent in 1972.   Their son Sidney was born in 1923 and died in 1994.

Kate died on 27 February 1961 in Paignton,  Devon.
