Joseph Clifford Foster  was born c1881. He was the son of Charles and Ruth Foster, and was christened on 7 Aug 1881 in St Mary the Virgin's Church in Ninfield.

Joseph married Gertrude Emma Ransom, and the couple are believed to have stayed in the Ninfield area.

Joseph died in August 1930, as the result of a cycling accident.  He was buried on 30 Aug 1930 in in St Mary the Virgin's Churchyard.
