John Ball was born on 30 Dec 1792 and was the son of John & Ann Ball. He was christened on 7 Jan 1793 in St Andrew's Church, Plymouth. John married Hannah Taplin on 15 Feb 1815 in St Mary's Church, Alverstoke in Hampshire. Hannah was born in about 1792. The couple moved to London soon after their marriage, where John worked as a Tailor. They had sixteen children, of which fourteen survived to adulthood. John & Hannah returned to the West Country in about 1861, settling in Devon, where they lived until their deaths in 1874 and 1881 respectively. |
