St Peter's Church, Ashburnham

James was the son of Michael & Elizabeth Isted.  He was born c1839, and was christened on 15 December 1839 in St Peter's Church, Ashburnham, in Sussex.

James married Elizabeth Cramp on 25 January 1862 in Ashburnham, Sussex.  Elizabeth was born c1841, and was the daughter of Samuel Cramp and Sarah Christian.

After their marriage the couple lived in Ashburnham.  They later moved to nearby Ninfield, before settling in Bexhill.  They raised a family of eight children.

Elizabeth died in 1901, and was buried on 14 November 1901 in Bexhill Cemetery.  James was also buried there, on 17 April 1906.
