St Oswald's, Hooe

Henry Gander and Jane Simmonds were married c 1755 in East Sussex.  Henry was the son of Richard Gander and his second wife Elizabeth Jane Freeman, and is believed to have been born in Herstmonceux, Sussex.

Henry and Jane raised a large family of twelve children, born over a period of twenty three years.

The family are believed to have lived in the Hooe area, where Henry died in about 1789.
