Helena Annie Carey was the daughter of George and Ellen Maria Carey. She was born c1894 in Hooe, East Sussex. Helena married Walter James Sandison on 17 February 1919 in St Oswald's Church, Hooe. The witnesses at the Wedding were Harold Daniels and George Carey. Walter was born c1890 in Lockport, Manitoba, Canada. His parents were James Sandison and Ann Harriet Sinclair, who were married on 5 January 1888 in St Andrew's Church, Manitoba. At the time of their marriage Walter was serving in the Canadian ASC. Helena and Walter later returned to Canada to raise a family, where some of their descendants still live today.
