Harry Southerden was the fifth child of Samuel & Sarah Southerden.  He was born about in 1889,  in Winchelsea, Sussex.   The 1901 census finds him as a schoolboy living at the School House, Fairlight View, Broomhill.

Harry married Elizabeth Isabella Phillips  on 25 December 1912 in Rye, Sussex.  Elizabeth was born in about 1892.  The witnesses at the Wedding were Owen Purcell Phillips and Ernest Elliott.

Harry died on 7 March 1959, and Elizabeth died on 19 June 1960.  The couple were buried in Rye Cemetery.
