Eveline Minnie
was born in the Ticehurst area on 9th September 1904. As
the youngest daughter, she was expected be the “daughter at home” to look
after her parents in their old age, as was the custom at the time. As a result, she married late in life. At the age of 40, she married William Packman in Chislehurst in 1944 and they had one son, born in 1946. Eveline died in 1982.
