St Oswald's, Hooe

Ellen Maria Lewis was the eleventh child of Henry and Charlotte Lewis.  She was born c1863, and was baptised on 27 December 1863 in Hooe, East Sussex.

On 27 May 1891 she married George William Carey.  He was born in 1859 in Hooe.    

Ellen and George appear to have spent most of their married life in Hooe.  Ellen died in 1931, and was buried on 21 May 1931 at St Oswald's Church, Hooe.  George was buried on 13 May 1941, also at St Oswald's Church.
