Elizabeth Thompson  was born in Portsmouth  c1855, and was the first child of John and Hannah Thompson.

Elizabeth married Walter Riddett  on 11 Aug 1877 in St James Church, Portsea.  Walter was born c1856 in Portsmouth, and was the son of James and Elizabeth Riddett.  At the time of his marriage Walter's occupation was a Rivetter.

Walter died in 1898, at which time the family were living in Church Street, Portsmouth.

Elizabeth did not re-marry, and brought up her family alone.  She died in 1939 aged 83 years.

Elizabeth and Walter were buried with two of their children, in Kingston Cemetery, Portsmouth .
