Eileen Beatrice Livermore was born on 5 March 1916, and was the eldest child of Alice and George Livermore. Eileen married Albert James Machin on 22 December 1938. Albert was born on 13 March 1913, and attended Mantua St School in Battersea, London. Albert was employed as a labourer at Morgan Crucible Co, until he was called up for active service in 1942. A driver in RASC, he served in the 1st Army in Africa, and then in Italy. On 21 March 1945, Albert was killed in an accident on a mountain road in Italy, and he is buried in the Military Cemetery at Bari, Italy. Find his headstone in 'We Will Remember Them'. Eileen later lived in Winstead St, Battersea before moving to Franciscan Rd, Tooting in the late 1960's. Eileen died on 10 November 2002.
