St Peter's, Bexhill

Charlotte Freeman was born in Hooe in 1848, and baptised in St Oswald’s Church on 12th November 1848.

She married Moses Trill at St Peter’s Church, Bexhill on 31st August 1867.  The witnesses at the wedding were the bride’s brother-in-law, Thomas Miller, and Rhoda Trill.  The couple had six children.  Moses was employed as an agricultural labourer, and later as a farm bailiff in Bexhill and Hollington.

Moses died in St Leonards in 1926, and was buried at St Leonard’s Church, Hollington on 15th September 1923, aged 82.  Charlotte died in 1936, at 25 Adelaide Road, St Leonards.  She was buried with her husband at St Leonard’s Church, Hollington on 1st December 1936.  She was 88.
