Charles & Ethel's Wedding Day, 10 May 1930

Charles James was born in Ninfield in 1903. He worked as a labourer, and married Ethel Nellie Fry in the Church of the Annunciation, Chislehurst, Kent on 10^th May 1930.  The witnesses at the wedding were his brother, Herbert William Charles, and Winifred Kathleen Fry, the bride’s sister.

Charles and Ethel lived for a short while in Eltham, southeast London where their daughter Winifred Eveline was born in 1931, but moved back to Chislehurst where they lived for the rest of their lives.

Charles died on 18^th November 1963, aged 60, of broncho pneumonia and rheumatoid arthritis and was cremated at Falconwood Crematorium. Ethel died at home in Chislehurst on 2^nd November 1982.
