Althea Emma (known as Dolly) was born in Ninfield on 16^th February 1895, named after her aunt Emma Ann Miller. She married Arthur William Whenham (1888-1973) in the Methodist Church, Prince Imperial Road, Chislehurst, Kent on 7^th July 1919.

Dolly and Arthur had three children, a daughter in 1921 and two sons, born in 1924 and 1928. In later life Dolly and Arthur moved to Swindon in Wiltshire where their younger son was living.  Arthur died there on 17^th March 1973 and Dolly on 28^th November 1976, both in St Margaret’s Hospital.
