Alfred with his son, William

Alfred Pocock was born in Hooe in 1863, and was baptised at St Oswald’s Church on 31st May 1863. He married Jane Elizabeth Baker in St Oswald’s Church, on 15^th May 1885.

The couple lived in Hooe all their lives, where Alfred worked as an Market Gardener. 

Jane died on 6th April 1931, aged 66, and was buried in the churchyard of St Oswald’s.  Alfred died on 14 July 1937, aged 74, and was buried with his wife.
